The 10 frame inner cover is essential for providing ventilation to the hive, aiding in the drying of nectar into honey within the comb. It also serves as a calming mechanism for the colony when the telescopic cover is removed. Giving a gentle puff of smoke into the center of the inner cover helps to further soothe the bees before opening it. This inner cover comes fully assembled and doesn't require any painting.
